Oilstainlab has just unveiled their latest mad science experiment: the production version of the Half-11, dubbed the HF-11. At 1,850,000 dollars a pop, just 25 of these unhinged machines will be built, and what better way to showcase the design than with our ideal Classic Driver spec?
When we first met the twin master-minds behind Oilstainlab, Iliya and Nikita Bridan, earlier this year at their workshop in LA, we knew they were destined for great things. Then, during the public unveiling of their sawn-off 911 in London in July, we heard whispers that a production version of the Half-11 prototype was on the way. Today we’re delighted to report that those rumours were true, and now Oilstainlab is gearing up to produce a limited run of 25 examples of the Half-11’s evolution. Meet the mind-bending HF-11.
Weighing in at just over 900 kilograms, the HF-11 is an unhinged tribute to the grin-inducing joy of analogue driving. While the Half-11 was a love letter to a past that could have been, the HF-11 has its sights firmly set on the future, with an innovative “Thunder-Volt” powertrain system that allows drivers to quick-swap between an all-electric setup and a mid-mounted flat-six promising 650 horsepower and 12,000 rpm of ear-tingling joy. Regardless of whether you choose to run on lightning or dino-juice, you’ll be able to fire through the gears using your choice of either a 7-speed sequential or 6-speed manual gearbox.
Another area where the HF-11 improves over the Half-11 is in cabin space. While the prototype was strictly for short kings only, the HF-11’s custom carbon fibre monocoque was designed to ensure drivers up to 6’3” fit comfortably, despite its impressively compact footprint. Deliveries are expected to commence in 2026, with each of the 25 HF-11s starting at 1,850,000 dollars a piece. Naturally, each HF-11 will be uniquely tailored to their lucky owner’s tastes, and we simply can’t wait to see the amazing specifications Oilstainlabs dream up. Until then, enjoy these custom renders of the ultimate Classic Driver-spec HF-11!
