What’s more fun? Watching your Olympian mom compete in world championships, or watching the Olympics with your Olympian mom? Let’s ask Olympia Ohanian, Serena Williams’ daughter with husband Alexis Ohanian, who got to watch the 2024 games in Paris sitting on her mama’s lap.
The mother-daughter pair were photographed watching the women’s gymnastics final on July 30, where the American team took home the gold medal.
Six-year-old Olympia, wearing a pink floral dress and sneakers, looked (almost) all grown-up, even as she watched Simone Biles lead the women’s gymnastics team to victory while sitting on her mom’s lap. Williams wore a little black tennis dress, appropriately, with a gold chain necklace and a pair of bright blue sneakers. This time, it looks like dad wasn’t with them.
Olympia’s dad, Alexis Ohanian, has been diligently documenting his daughter’s adventures at the Paris games, which included her new collection of souvenir pins from the athletes after the opening ceremony. On Twitter, with a picture of her haul, he wrote, “Olympia’s Olympic credentials. She was VERY excited to get the Armenia pin 🥰🇦🇲.”
Maybe this will inspire Serena Williams’ daughter to follow in her athletic footsteps and one day we’ll see Olympia take the mat/court/field/arena at the Olympic games.
