Manchester United outcast Scott McTominay could reportedly be used in a player-exchange deal for Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch
According to reports, the Bundesliga champions are interested in signing McTominay, which may assist the Red Devils bring in one of their top midfield targets.
The Scottish international’s playing time at Old Trafford has decreased this summer. With Mason Mount now on the roster, Erik ten Hag has more depth in the middle of the field.
McTominay’s nаme has been mentioned in connection with a possible move. Before the transfer deadline, a move to West Ham fell through, but negotiations could resume this week.
Bayern reportedly has an interest in making a surprise play to acquire the 26-year-old. United, who had been linked to Dutch midfielder Gravenberch of Bayern, might be pleased with the agreement.
Sky in Germany reports that the Premier League club is considering trading McTominay for Gravenberch this week. Temporary signing of the former Ajax player would give United the best chance of securing him permanently.
BILD, a German tabloid, reports that McTominay’s transfer to Bayern could be a loan as well. United won 3-2 at Nottingham Forest on Saturday without Mount, although the academy product only saw action for five minutes of that game.

Bayern lost the Suρer Cup to RB Leipzig by a score of 3-0 at the beginning of the month, and Gravenberch did not see any action in that match. A change of scenery, even if only temporary, may be just what the young player needs to rekindle his career.
Casemiro and Mount have taken the brunt of the criticism directed at United’s middle this season. Ten Hag’s squad is lacking in a certain area, and Gravenberch can help strengthen that.
