Mery Perelló Breaks Her Silence: Reveals Her Relationship with Rafael Nadal for the First Time

The Spanish tennis player’s wife spoke about her little son on his second birthday.

Rafael Nadal is considering the possibility of returning to the courts in the near future, although he also has the possibility of finally retiring from professional tennis in mind. The King of Clay Court is increasingly prioritizing quality time with his family and wants to enjoy it as much as possible. Although not much is known about his family circle, since together with Mery Perelló they maintain a strong secrecy, it was his own wife who decided to talk about little Rafa in a very special context.

Rafael Nadal and Mery Perelló agreed not to expose their son to the media or social media. The little boy, whose name is not even known and the press decided to call him Rafa Jr., was born on October 7, 2022 and changed the lives of his parents. In that context, on the day of his 2nd birthday, Perelló decided to break her own rules and spoke about her son in the framework of the celebration of the third edition of the Rafa Nadal Foundation Awards.

Together with their son, they accompany him as often as they can.

Rafael Nadal ‘s wife only answered a question from the press about her son and assured that her son is doing very well. Along the same lines, taking into account her role in the Rafa Nadal Foundation, where her main objective is to give the most disadvantaged children the tools to have a better future, Perelló was asked if her motherhood adds a special commitment to the cause. “I believe that, like everyone else, children touch my heart,” she said without giving much more detail.

Fatherhood transformed Rafael Nadal’s life

While Mery Perelló has been much more reserved, the Spanish tennis player gave more details about his life after becoming a father for the first time. Rafa said that it completely affected his sporting level, since his little one takes up all his attention. Since his baby was born, the Matador revealed that he has not won almost any match, but that personally his whole life has changed for the better."image"

“On a sporting level, he has changed me drastically. Since he came into this world, I have hardly won a single match. But in most things, he has changed me for the better, because in the end I have lost, I have been injured, but whatever happens, coming home and seeing him changes my mood,” revealed the Spanish tennis player on “El Hormiguero.”
