One year after Patrick Mahomes and Henry Winkler met on an NFL sideline, the Chiefs quarterback’s dinner promise to the legendary actor still hasn’t materialized.
The plan was put into action last November when Winkler was in the house for a Chiefs road game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mahomes surprised the Happy Days star with a signed personalized jersey, and he looked genuinely touched by the gesture before responding with a dinner invitation at his house.
The two-time Super Bowl champion accepted, but Winkler says he has been ghosted ever since.
‘I think he fibbed to me,’ he recently told TMZ.
Actor Henry Winkler and Patrick Mahomes met at a Kansas City Chiefs game last November.
Winkler has yet to share a meal with Mahomes, as the quarterback promised late last year.
As one of the most famous players in the NFL, and with a newborn son to look after, Mahomes perhaps doesn’t have too much time to head for dinner with Winkler in the thick of the regular season for Kansas City.

However, it remains to be seen whether he ever takes him up on the offer.
The invitation still appears to be active, and there isn’t a secret what’s on the menu.
‘He will have a great chicken,’ Winkler added.
The Chiefs do have one more game this season in the Los Angeles area, coming against the Chargers on Jan. 7, where Winkler resides. Mahomes could pencil in that exclusive reservation then.
He and his Kansas City teammates are currently taking on the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
