Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider 2022: Bringing Formula 1 Experience to Drivers

Aston Martin recently debuted its latest product, the Valkyrie Spider, at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, USA. The convertible car is the fastest ever produced by the British automaker and is being compared to a Formula 1 car designed for street use.

The 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is considered a Formula 1 racing car on the street. The biggest difference in the newly released Spider version from the previous Valkyrie coupe is that the roof can be removed by hand to turn it into a convertible. Specially designed by Aston Martin to match the carbon fiber monocoque body as well as the polycarbonate windows.

The door is no longer opened in the “gull wing” style, but has been redesigned in the “butterfly” style so that the owner can lift the hood easily.

This helps the car to generate up to 1,400kg of downforce at 240km/h, combined with the front bumper and rear spoiler made from carbon to help the car be stable when operating at high speeds. Maximum speed 350km/h.

The interior of the Valkyrie Spider’s cockpit has the bold style of a racing car. Aston Martin engineers, in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, have designed a removable carbon fiber control steering wheel.

The steering wheel is made of removable carbon. Safety equipment of the car includes an additional 6-point seat belt, rearview mirror in the form of a camera and parking sensor, collision warning and reverse sensor.

Aston Martin also equips Valkyrie Spider with a Kinetic Energy System Recovery (KERS) system. This is a system developed by Integral Powertrain, which specializes in providing high-performance electric motors, and Rimac is responsible for developing the light-weight hybrid battery pack.

Drivers can experience the roar of the 1,176-horsepower engine. The above engine produces a maximum capacity of 1,176 horsepower at 11,000 rpm, thereby helping the supercar to reach a maximum speed of 330km / h when the roof is open and over 350 km / h when the roof is closed. This is Aston Martin’s fastest and most powerful convertible that can be legally driven on public roads.
