The brand-new Lexus LM MPV raises the bar for luxury.

The Japanese automaker unveiled the second-generation Lexus LM luxury MPV at the Shanghai auto show, which is set to launch in over 60 countries.

The 2024 Lexus LM has been officially unveiled at the Shanghai auto show.

The Japanese automaker is casting its net wider with the second-generation luxury MPV.

It’s set to launch in over 60 countries, including Europe and Japan for the first time.

Great news for executives seeking a comfortable and luxurious experience, but don’t want the typical chauffeur-driven SUV or saloon.

It’s not good news if you’re in America, though, as there’s no sign of the luxury minivan hitting the US market anytime soon.

Lexus LM – the lap of luxury

As one would expect, no stone has been left unturned when it comes to luxury inside the new Lexus LM.

For starters, it features comfort, airline-style recliner seats with pillow headrests.

There’s a 48-inch widescreen television and a premium, 23-speaker surround-sound audio system, too.

Comfort and convenience are the order of the day with pᴀssengers getting fold-out tables, multiple USB ports, wireless phone chargers, reading lights, and vanity mirrors.

There’s even a fridge, rear gloveboxes, and an umbrella holder.

Oh, and a dimmable glᴀss panel that can be raised or lowered for privacy.

There’s a smartphone-style control panel that can be used to adjust the climate control, seat functions, interior lighting, window blinds, and audio settings.

There’s even an overhead console that controls the doors, storage compartments, and cabin temperature.

Lexus says it’s introduced a new voice control system specially for the rear pᴀssengers, which it claims is a world first.

The all-new Lexus LM is available in both four-seat and seven-seat configurations.

The all-new Lexus LM is based on Toyota’s GA-K platform currently being used by the Toyota Highlander, Toyota RAV4, and the new Lexus RX.

Powertrain specifications haven’t yet been revealed, however, Lexus confirmed the luxury MPV will be available in two hybrid configurations.

The three-row-only LM350h will combine a 2.5-liter non-turbo gas four-cylinder engine with electric motors.

The four-seat LM500h will be powered by the RX500h’s 2.4-liter turbo-petrol four-cylinder and electric motors.

In the RX, these drivetrains produce 246hp and 366hp respectively.

Lexus RM price

Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but the Lexus LM is expected to rival the likes of the Mercedes V-Class.
